Hope you are aware that Umag 2021 has been a tournament that will be remembered forever! First trophy for Carlos Alcaraz! The coincidence with Rafa is so amazing that both won his first title during Olympic Games, at the age of 18, although of course their styles are super-different.
Having said that, I would like to congratulate Letaulier. Amazing performance. He also got the right pick wth Carlos and he was much better than me in picking Gasquet and Travaglia rather than Marco and Taberner. Well deserved win, I would say he knew it with some days in advance!
Just to finish, I am shocked with the incredible performance of LLTL players in the Olympics. Right now, I see 28 players with higher than 75% ratio. This is simply unbelievable! I think it is the toughest tournament ever!!! Good luck to everybody there, a medal always has a different taste. ”
