Here comes a new feature related to the Challenger Tour. I take this opportunity to remind you 2 main guidelines I'm following since the very beginning of this website:
- trying to stick to the ATP rules, in order to have the same kind of "carrer" for LLTL players :)
- trying to help every player to compete and win something. I have to admit that it's more and more difficult to win a trophy, because of the increasing number of players. That's why we are now playing Challengers more and more often, you can try to obtain "medals", or compete in one of the different new rankings, etc. I will soon add another feature, the "cut". In order to have the same maximum number of players in an ATP and LLTL tournament. For instance in Stuttgart 2019 (28 players ATP, 30 players LLTL), the 2 LLTL players with the lower ranking would have been asked to play another tournament. Work in progress...

Now let's talk about the new feature :)
It's now possible to play a Challenger during the second week of a Gran Slam tournament. Of course it's designed for the players who obtained poor results in the 1st week, and who think they won't be able to obtain a good result in the 2nd week. If you enter a Challenger during the second week of a Gran Slam, all your pending picks of the Gran Slam will be deleted! You'll keep only the points you won with the matches already finished. Which means that you will win some points at the end of the Gran Slam, but you won't have any chance to be top16.

In a few days you'll have the chance to give up Wimbledon and attend the super famous Braunschweig Open !
Depending on the success of this first time try, we'll refine the entry rules. Please send me an email if it's unclear, and I'll update this post.

And of course the rule about the top10-forbidden-access-to-Challengers is still on.

One more thing: filling draws, updating scores, writing interviews, take a lot of time. That's why I almost killed the website at the beginning of the season 2019.
