This is the first time the LLTL organizes its own Masters. We did not play it during the past seasons for several reasons :
- technical difficulties, because the website can't handle round robin matches...
- high probability of similar draws from one player to another, because of too few matches.
- unfair points distribution... The entrants of the Masters take benefit of the points during one year (200 pts per win during the round robin)

This year we'll try something to avoid these problems. I guess it won't be perfect, but it will allows us to play a homemade Masters !

Here is the point :
The players among the top 8 at the LLTL Race, and 2 substitutes (ranked number 9 and 10) are allowed to play a bonus tournament during the week of the ATP Masters (14th-20th Nov).
For the moment only 7 players are sure to be part of the Masters : Adunar, kayoo83, anekfu, Vincerick, babass, chucknorris and srematias.
If the whole top8 play the Masters, the draws of the substitutes won't be saved. The substitutes are here just in case a member of the top8 can't join.

But the fine detail is that the players won't pronosticate on the ATP Masters, but on... a Challenger tournament ! Four Challengers will take place during the week of the 14th of November, we'll choose between (Italie, 42,5kEUR, carpet indoor), Champaign (USA, 50k$, hard indoor), Montevideo (Uruguay, 50k$, clay) and Toyota (Japon, 50k$, carpet indoor).

Playing on a challenger tournament has many advantages :
- "traditionnal" draw without round robin
- 31 matches, so no risk of similar draws
- many unknown players, so that will be quite difficult to play. But it's the Masters' tournament, that's part of the game !

The points scale used is closed to the one used for the Challenger 125k$ : 125 pts for the winner, 75pts for the runner-up, then 45 (SF) et finally 25 for the 4 others.
This is an honorary tournament. The players will keep the points during one year, just like at the ATP.
