Immense surprise à l'Open d'Australie 2017 puisque deux suisses qu'on avait enterrés un peu trop tôt l'ont emporté : ChipAndChargeDaez et Roger Federer !



Nelson : Congratulations ChipAndChargeDaez for your 3rd title. And what a demonstration : 3 correct semi-finalists, and 13points ahead of the finalist. As usual, your performance is strongly related to Roger's and Stan's perf. How did you react when you and Roger won the title ?

ChipAndChargeDaez : Thank you! First of all, I'm very happy about this AO. There were so many fantastic and inspiring matches and I really appreciate that the courts were so fast in this year!! I think this is the right way for the future. In the last years, the trend was that the courts become slower and slower... and the classic "Serve and Volley" was on the way to completely disapear... Now I hope, that this was a first step back to more different courts.
But now to your questions: I was very very happy about the victory of RF. What a final, what a performance!! But it was definitely not possible for me to enjoy the match. I was terrible nervous and I almost destroyed my couch at home. But hey, that's normal. This is what I want and expect by watching a Roger Federer Match. :-)
My personell AO-LLTL title makes the things just perfect. I'm very happy about this GS Trophy, but I also have to thank my supporters and my friends. Without them, it would't be possible for me to win this title. A special thank goes to Daviscupchamp. He has obviously no idea of Tennis, but he's such a nice guy and always a good friend.

Nelson : You did not play the Top20 game. So I ask you directly : in your opinion, what will be the Top 5 at the end of 2017 ?

ChipAndChargeDaez : I expect the return of the "Big 4", complemented by Wawrinka. I.e. Federer, Wawrinka, Nadal, Djokovic, Murray (-> not ranked)
