Australian Open - Makanaki



Nelson : Congratulations Makanaki! What an amazing performance in the Australian Open! It's been almost 2 years now that you play among the LLTL, and so far your best results were 2 QF in GranSlam, and 2 titles in small tournaments. What happened for you during the winter ?

Makanaki : Nothing special happened to me during the winter but maybe I have been underrated during the last 2 years ;)
I guess my success was that I have followed the small tournaments in Brisbane and Sydney exately and I had my personell favorites.
For example: Bautista-Agut, Medvedev, Carreno-Busta and Berdych. These brought me some important points more in comparison to the rest of my opponents.

Nelson : You are now ranked number 6 (your personal best was 23 !), so the big question is : how long will you stay in the top 10 ? :)

Makanaki : Ho long I will stay in the top 10? I hope the hole year 2019 at least. But I hope you will ask me next year:"Hi Makanaki, you are now ranked number 1, so the big question is: How long will you stay in the Top 3?
