MickaëLLTLlodra : Hi latizada, congratulations for your maiden Pune Open title ! Your second ATP250 title and your fifth career title overall for your 100th tournament (!!), that makes you once again the LLTL world number 1. I guess that it makes you proud, and makes you wish more title will be coming ?

latizada : Sure! I am very happy to be back on top. And I also like the fact of winning my first title in Asia. As in every win, I was a bit lucky (Vesely-Ivaskha)

MickaëLLTLlodra : Many consider you the LLTL GOAT, and it would he hard to contradict them. Two figure say it all : in 17 Grand Slams participations, you only failed once to reach the quarterfinals, and you reach the semifinals in 34 of the 100 tournaments you took part in ! How do you manage to be so regularly on top, whatever the level of the tournament is ?

latizada : I think I am doing very well in the GS but definitely I have to improve in lower-ranked tournaments. I am quite concerned with my performance in the M1000, although it is true that in M1000 you can face very strong opponents from the very first round, no time to warm up.
Regarding the last question, there is no other secret that effort+luck ;-)



Nelson : Congratulations Makanaki for your 1st title since your the biggest moment of your career: your titlte last year in Melbourne. You had quite a crazy season in 2019, and you could have ended world number#1. What happened for instance in Shanghai, the M1000 that you missed ? Was that some kind of a relapse of your injury against Cell ? (private joke about Mr Satan in Dragon Ball :))

Makanaki : thank you for the congratulations from everywhere. Its nice to start a year in that way, I wasnt able to defend my title in down under but I was happy with the AO generally.
Yes its a pity that I have almost played all possible tournaments in 2019 and then I missed Shanghai. I dont know why anymore but shit happens.

Nelson : Losing 2000pts in the AO last month kicked you off from the top10, but I guess that your goal is to be back in as fast as possible ?

Makanaki : I will hang on and my goal for 2020 is to land within the top 5 again, lets see whats possible.

Nelson : Congratulations mcatolico for your 9th title so far, and your first one in 2020! And you were the defending champion! It seems that you feel home in Cordoba since your draw was almost perfect, not exactly the same scenario as last year :)

mcatolico : Thank you it's always a delight to win a title no matter what size, although it's a shame I didn't get it right in Melbourne. I seem to do really well in 250s and 500s events and abysmal in the GS and Masters. Yea Córdoba seems to be a great hunting ground for me and its great I was able to defend my title! :)

Nelson : How do yo feel about the great performance of your favorite ennemy atoenupu ? Does your performance this week as any connection with the fact that he's now the leader of the LLTL Race ?

mcatolico : Yea I like to take this opportunity to congratulate my office rival (atoenupu) in winning his first (and hopefully last) singles grand slam title - hahaha. Nah it's good he's currently leading the LLTL race as it's making me motivated to also do well. I currently see that I have a healthy lead in Rotterdam (as I write this) so fingers crossed I'll be doing another winner's interview next week! ;)
