Nelson : CONGRATULATIONS latizada, you're now officially the LLTL GOAT ! 3 Gran Slams (record) and at least 46 weeks number 1. The fight for the 1st place will be intense. What are your expectations ?

latizada : Hi Nelson!
I am extremely happy to have won Wimbledon. I have been quite lucky in this tournament to be honest but luck always play a role, as lucky losers know well. The Goffin-Mevdevev and the Nole-Roger were the key matches for my victory, and both were super tight
Regarding the number 1 it will be an incredible fight for the rest of the season. I hope to be able to defend it. The race is very tight with 3 of us in 250 points and still a good amount of points to be granted. 4 m1000, 1gs, several atp500... I am in good position now so that I am confident I can finish at the top for the second year.
Of course I would also like to complete the career grand slam. Hope to have many years to try it! Thanks a lot!

MickaëLLTLodra : Hi jimmycornflake, congrats on your result in Wimbledon, where you ended up being runner-up! You first big success, if I may, that comes after a shy season beginning (no semi-final or final, only one quarterfinal in an ATP 500 tournament): how do you explain this transformation ?

jimmycornflake : So far I have had a pretty poor season indeed. I was about to quit a few weeks ago. Mentally it is very hard to stay positive and play your best game after struggling and losing every week. But I guess it is a common process for a beginner. If you look at rookie Grandje for example, who had a good start of the season, he is in the same situation right now and I am afraid he is about to have a mental breakdown. The best decision I made was taking a week off before Roland Garros. Reborn I reached the 4th round of RG, which was a big surprise. I kept on improving my game on grass, my favourite surface, which resulted in becoming the runner-up of Wimbledon.

MickaëLLTLodra : You are now part of the LLTL top 25 and 4th best Rookie after only 7 months of participation in the league, which is an impressive performance. Do you think the upcoming tournaments on hard surface, a surface on which you already had interesting results (9/45 at Autralian open and 11/51 at Miami masters) could be a way to keep going up in the rankings and end your first season on top of the league ?

jimmycornflake : At this moment I am confident, but it is important to stay focussed because of the strong competition. At one hand there are many quality players who constantly perform on a high level and on the other hand there are a lot of upcoming rookies. Monkie for example, who also started this year, is improving his game a lot and has a big chance to win his first 250-tournament this week. To be honest I don't see him as a threat though, because of his mental weakness. He always compares himself with Raymond van Barneveld, which is a professional dart player with lots of personal issues that affect his game in a negative way. But anyways, if I keep on fighting I am sure entering the Top 15 is a realistic goal. I am very much looking forward to the hard court season. The key is to accept dissapointing results and stay consistent in my game.

MickaëLLTLodra : Thank you for your time and your answers, and good luck for the end of the season. One last question for our fans : Zverev, Tsitsipas, or Thiem as leader of the Next-Gen ?

jimmycornflake : I hope it will be Tsitsipas. He is a very charismatic player and improved his game a lot.
